The industry of plastic surgery is presently facing exceptional growth. About 8.7 million plastic surgery methods were operated in the US . There was an increase of about 293 percent of plastic surgery in the year 1997 and in 2002, there was an increase of 33 percent. The plastic surgical methods performed in the year 2003 involve 20 percent of surgical methods and 80 percent of non-surgical methods.

Statistics about Plastic Surgery in 2004

According to the survey conducted by the surgeons and physicians of the AmericanSociety for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, there were about 11.9 million non-surgical and surgical plastic surgery methods operated in the year 2004. Non-surgical methods involve 82 percent of the total and surgical methods involve 18 percent of the total. There was an increase of about 44 percent of plastic surgery methods from 2003 to 2004. Non-surgical procedures include an increase of 51 percent and surgical procedures include an increase of 17 percent.
