Neck Lift Plastic Surgery
A neck lift is a group of procedures which is performed to improve the outlook of the neck. It includes two procedures such as Platysmaplasty which changes or eliminates the muscles of the neck and other is Cervicoplasty which is a method used to eliminate the surplus skin. The plastic surgeon can also execute neck liposuction in some of the patients which eliminates the surplus fat. Sometimes, Botox injections are injected in some of the patients having bands or fullness.
How a Neck Lift is done
This procedure lasts for 2-3 hours. If one is having a neck lift in combination with facelift, liposuction, brow lift and other plastic surgeries, the time depends on the type of procedure performed. If any patient is having loose or weakened neck muscles, then in order to rectify the problem, the surgeon will suggest plastysmaplasty surgery to him or her. During the process of liposuction, the plastic surgeon makes a small cut under the chin and eliminates the unwanted fat. If the patient is undertaking numerous procedures while pursuing neck lift, then the surgeon starts the surgery with liposuction.
